I know the power of a good photograph and I know the pain of never seeing the right person in the mirror. August approached me because he wanted his photo taken. He had reached a place in his transition where he feels confident and proud. He told me he wanted to feel like a celebrity. After being so delighted with the photos, he called up again to do the same with his friend June. He told me he wanted to show her that she is beautiful. It was validating for all of us in the joy of holding up a true reflection for one another.
